Samsung Galaxy A3 (2016)

The Samsung Galaxy A3 has had a lot of great updates. The current display is being replaced with a bigger 4.7inch Super AMOLED screen with a better resolution. The 8MP rear camera has been upgraded to 13MP, whilst the 5MP front-facing camera remains the same.

The quad-core processor is also here to stay, along with the 1.5GB RAM and 16GB storage. However, the battery has been upgraded from 1900mAh to 2300mAh, so an increase in battery life should be seen with the new device. The Galaxy A3 will be the only device out of the three newly announced to not feature a fingerprint sensor.

Samsung Galaxy A5 (2016)

The 2015 model of the Galaxy A5 featured a 5inch Super AMOLED display with 720p resolution. The new 2016 version has been bumped up to 5.2inches with a 1080p resolution. The quad-core processor has been bumped up to an octa-core one, but the RAM and storage remain the same at 2GB and 16GB respectively.

The battery has also had an upgrade, going from 2300mAh to 2900mAh, so an increase in battery life should be seen with this model as well.

The Samsung Galaxy A5 will feature a 13MP rear camera with OIS (Optical Image Stabilization). The front-facing camera will remain the same as the previous model, at 5MP. A fingerprint sensor and Samsung Pay have been included with this model, which will also be available in a dual-SIM variant.

Samsung Galaxy A7 (2016)

The new Samsung Galaxy A7 will be the largest of the trio of new smartphones. It will come with a 5.5inch Super AMOLED screen with 1080p resolution and an octa-core processor. Its battery will be upgraded from 2600mAh to 3300mAh and will support Fast Charging. The phone has more RAM, now at 3GB but the storage stays the same at 16GB. Luckily Samsung has kept the microSD slot.

The 13MP camera will feature OIS and has a wider aperture than the previous model. The Galaxy A7 will also come with a fingerprint sensor and Magnetic Secure Transmission.
