The well-known gaming phone, Razer, is getting even more upgrades.

Already known for its 5.7 inches 1140 x 2560 screen, power, potential and incredible speakers, will see further updates.

The made for gamers, by gamers device is already a media machine that’s now set to be getting an update to include Netflix HDR support, and Dolby Digital 5.1.

The speakers on the phone have previously been described as the best on a smartphone, will be getting even better. These features are offered by a small handful of phones, putting Razer a cut above.

Combing the two will create an all-around immersive, unrivalled experience; Dolby Digital 5.1 will drastically improve the feeling of surround sound, while HDR will allow Netflix videos to really pop. Claiming their own way to fame; Razer said themselves this is the BEST way to watch movies, as well as your favourite shows on the go. The combination of Netflix HDR and Dolby Digital 5.1 is a big step, and Razer is the first smartphone to do it.

What else do we know about Razer?

A now-deleted tweet on Razers account revealed the camera, theme store, and security patch will also receive updates.

No headphone jack can surely be excused now, with the Dolby Digital 5.1 sound improvements?

January’s patch saw the camera app get 2x zoom, and shutter speed improved, as well as lighting conditions sped up and improved across the board. The image sensor produces less noise in dark places, generating an overall nicer image than before, according to Razer.

We’re intrigued to see what else Razer have up their sleeve in the coming months.
