New Software for Blackberry Storm

Vodafone and RIM have just released a software update for the hugely popular Blackberry Storm. The update is expected to deliver improved stability and performance in a number of key areas including media, message handling and touch screen display.

Fixes and improvements in this software upgrade are as follows:

• Microphone – Enhanced clarity to voice calls
• Display – A number of improvements have been made to the display including a smoother and quicker transition between landscape and portrait modes.
• Media – Better handling of different media file formats and improved stability when using the media player.
• Video – Improved streaming plus better handling of MMS messages and switching between applications when video streaming. The fast forward and rewind functionality of media files is also improved.
