Fastdox is a simple but highly effective tool that creates exact copies of handwritten documents in .pdf format. It is particularly beneficial to mobile workers as the document can be instantly transmitted using a mobile phone application. You simply print your own digital documents and forms using the Fastdox printer application. The user then completes the form using a special digital pen. The data is either stored on the pen for later download to a PC, or sent via mobile phone. Whichever method is used the completed form is instantly available for integration into back office systems.
How Fastdox works
Fastdox is very quick and easy to deploy. For a start, you can carry on using all your existing documents, forms, applications, and printers. All you have to do is install the Fastdox printer application to your PC.
When printing documents using Fastdox, an invisible mask of coordinates is added to the paper, instantly converting ordinary paper into a new digital form. When you complete the document with the pen these coordinates and the pen strokes are recorded and stored.
This data is downloaded to the PC or sent via Bluetooth to a mobile phone which automatically sends the data back to a designated email address. On arrival at the PC the data from the pen is superimposed on the template used and a new .pdf is created.
Using the “work flow” software provided you can set a series of automatic actions for each template and even connect to other enterprise systems to simplify the document handling. By configuring and assigning custom actions to digital documents, you can make paper an integrated and valuable part of your digital systems.
