Vodafone One Net Overview

Vodafone One Net is a hosted telephony solution that completely integrates fixed line and mobile services, delivering the ultimate converged communications experience. Users of One Net can be reached on a single phone number, no matter where they are. With one number for all your telecoms support it’s a simpler, more cost effective way to manage your communications. There are two levels of service: One Net, typically for SMEs with between 10 and 50 employees and One Net Express, for smaller companies.

How It Works

With One Net your existing land line infrastructure is replaced with a Hosted Telephone Exchange situated within the Vodafone network. Your office is connected to this Hosted Exchange by a dedicated data line and new hardware is provided for all the users who need desk telephones. As part of the installation process your land line telephone numbers are transferred from your current supplier to Vodafone.

This means that all your mobile and land line numbers become extensions within the same telephone system and your mobile users can benefit from all the sophisticated features of a modern telephone system whether using their mobiles or desk telephones.

As the mobiles and land lines are within the same system, all calls from your land lines to your mobiles become free of charge, saving up to 15p per minute.

Many companies have different suppliers for their land lines; telephone system; broadband and mobiles. Significant savings can be achieved by bringing all of these elements of telephone system support and service contracts into a single cost with one supplier.

How Many Users do Vodafone have?

The One Net Service has been developed and tested in two European markets, with more than 1 million users now on the system. So you can be confident that the technology behind the service is reliable and fully tested.

One Net set up and Installation

The process is managed from end to end to make sure that there will be no nasty surprises. A full survey is carried out once the specification has been agreed, to make sure that the service will perform as required. Each installation is managed by Next Comms with a single project co-ordinator within Vodafone.

Training will be provided for your users as part of the final installation process.

Service continuity

Our goal is to minimise down time. Individual users will only experience short outages while cabling is rerouted.

One Net management

Once the service is live, you will be able to control and manage One Net service via an online Vodafone portal. Because it’s web-based, you will be able to do this from any device with a web browser and won’t need any specialised client software. The portal allows you to select and easily configure the full range of account and telephony options, providing complete end user management.

One Net support

We work with a dedicated One Net Support team within Vodafone. You will have phone and web access directly to them if needed. So you will always know who to call if there is a problem.
